¡Hola! my name is Ruth and I am from a small city called 'Soria' in Castilla y Leon, which is in the middle of the Iberian Peninsula.
I have a Spanish degree and I am a qualified teacher with a Certificate in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from International House and the DTLLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector) and I have just completed my MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
Teaching is my passion. I love giving my lessons as well as preparing them and searching for new activities and materials. My teaching method is communicative and I use a wide range of styles and activities to engage with my students and help turn the classroom into a fun and friendly environment.
I think I will love working at Vamos because the school offers so much more.
Have fun learning Spanish as we upload the A1 and A2 episodes of Cava Baja, our cartoon soap in Madrid.
For higher levels, we'll test your Spanish with specially written articles from topics we find of interest from the news each week.Plus we'll keep you in touch with Hispanic culture in London, our teacher blogs and social events in the school. Have fun learning with Vamos.
"I have really enjoyed the weekend in Asturias. It was fantastic to be part of a group on a learning based holiday. I learnt a lot and was able to practise my Spanish which was great. I really liked that there were fun activities arranged too, not just the Spanish classes. It was a great mix of both."
