Summer is coming and there are lot of Spanish events that you will be able to enjoy in London. It looks like everything is only focus on football but if you do not like football, do not worry! In this blog you will find other things to do.

Spanish rhapsody (23rd June 19:30 in Orpington Village Hall):

An evening of music and dance evoking the rich and varied colours of Spain.World renowned artists, classical guitarist Xuefei Yang & Spanish dancer Maria Vega, join their talents to celebrate this rich and broad heritage of Spanish music and dance : from flamenco to danza estilizada (classical Spanish dance), performed to the music of the greatest Spanish composers (Albeniz, Falla, Granados) on that quintessential Spanish instrument, the guitar.

 

Comida Fest Summer festival 2018 (30th June and 01st July in Cutty Sark Gardens , Greenwich):

Comida Fest returns to Greenwich bringing over 30 traders with food from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru and more! All traders at Comida Fest have exclusive menus so you can try as many new flavours as possible!!! Mojitos, Margaritas, Caipirinhas, Latin American beer and wine, typical and innovative drinks, softs and bubbly. The food is diverse and high quality, traditional and fusion, from the best tacos until the last churros! Come hungry, bring your family and friends!

But despite the festival’s name is Comida, not only you can have food, there will be performances as well. From capoeira to salsa and merengue to face painting.

South Social film Festival (29th-30th June in Elephant & Castle):

Due to the huge Latin American community in the South of London. The South Social film Festival will focus two days on two countries. This year the Festival is focus on Argentina and Colombia. South Social Meets Latin America is a trans-geographical, multicultural and multidimensional festival that will celebrate LATIN AMERICA by way of independent cinema, dance, world music, art and regional cuisine from 29-30 JUNE at the brand-new Elephant Park, in ELEPHANT & CASTLE.

On Friday 29th it will be focus on Argentina and there will be local Argentinian dancers, Cumbia concert and they will screen the movie Wild Tales, which they are behind Vamos because we screened it 2 months ago in our Cinema night.

And Saturday 30th will be focus on Colombia. Again will be local Colombian dancers, Colombian vallenato concert and at the end they will screen the premiere of the movie, Amalia la secretaria.
