Relatos salvajes (2014) Friday 9 March 7.30pm -10.30pm
Hola cine adictos,
¿Qué tal todo? Después de una semana de mucho frío y con Londres nevado, qué mejor plan que ir al cine.
After one week of freezing weather and snow, do you know a better plan than coming to watch a great movie on Friday with us?
We also have good news to tell you, we already told some of you that we wanted to organise some wine tasting, finally that day will come and would be next April, so therefore we won’t have another cinema night until May, so do not miss next week’s movie night.
This time we will show an Argentinian movie, last two movies were drama, comedy and action and we decided that we will show all genres in one movie, Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales)
Relatos salvajes is a 2014 Argentine-Spanish black comedy anthology film composed of six shorts, that means is like watching six different movies in one, that is why this movie is so brilliant, all written and directed by Damián Szifron, united by a common theme of violence and vengeance.
The film was co-produced by Pedro Almodóvar, so that tell us how brilliant it is. The movie received considerable acclaim, particularly in South America, as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language and the Goya Award for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film Additionally, it was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, and for the Palme d’Or at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
If you are not convinced yet, please see trailer below and book!
Remember, as this is an Argentinian movie, they will use different vocabulary and expressions that probably we do not learn in the classroom, so pay attention to them and later you can share with your teacher or classmates.
Nos vemos el próximo viernes.
Gracias,
ENRIC

Enric Sancho
Hola! I am Enric Sancho from Barcelona. I've always loved to study different languages and learn about other cultures, so 3 years ago I decided to make teaching Spanish my profession and I love it. I qualified as a teacher at International House London where I learnt about the communicative approach and a few months ago I also qualified as a DELE A1/A2 examiner at Instituto Cervantes in London. I always aim to make my lessons interesting and enjoyable with cultural tips, so my students travelling to South America and Spain can communicate with native Spanish speakers.
Keep on learning Spanish
Have fun learning Spanish as we upload the A1 and A2 episodes of Cava Baja, our cartoon soap in Madrid.
