Flamenco night: Diego Guerrero
If I ask you to think of Spanish culture, you will probably think paella, tapas… and flamenco. Flamenco is indeed one of the most characteristic elements of Spanish culture, especially throughout the southern region of Andalusia. Normally, it is necessary to travel to Spain in order to see a good flamenco show – but not this month! Andalusian native and flamenco singer and guitarist Diego Guerrero will be performing at The Jazz Cafe on Saturday, 16th February for his debut show in London.
Diego has always transcended flamenco in his music, and he has made his name not only as a singer but also as a prolific musical producer, arranger, composer and guitarist. His debut album, Vengo Caminando, immediately achieved him status as one of the most important artists of the genre and received international recognition being nominated by prestigious Latin Grammy Awards in the category of “Best Flamenco Album”.
This is a great opportunity to learn about Spanish culture whilst you spend a truly enjoyable evening, and we totally recommend it!

Si te pido que pienses en la cultura española, probablemente pienses “paella”, “tapas”… y “flamenco”. Efectivamente, el flamenco es uno de los elementos más característicos de la cultura española, especialmente en toda la región de Andalucía, situada en el sur de España. Normalmente, es necesario viajar hasta España para ver un buen espectáculo de flamenco, ¡pero este mes estamos de suerte! El artista flamenco andaluz Diego Guerrero actuará en The Jazz Cafe el sábado 16 de febrero para su debut en Londres.
Diego siempre ha trascendido el flamenco en su música, y se ha hecho famoso no solo como cantante sino también como prolífico productor musical, arreglista, compositor y guitarrista. Su primer álbum, Vengo Caminando, lo lanzó inmediatamente a la fama como uno de los artistas más importantes del género y fue reconocido internacionalmente al ser nominado a los prestigiosos premios Grammy Latinos en la categoría de “Mejor Álbum de Flamenco”.
Esta es una gran oportunidad para aprender sobre la cultura española mientras pasas una noche realmente agradable, ¡y lo recomendamos totalmente!
